I am looking for drivers for an Optiplex GX270. I installed Windows XP, but do not have the drivers for it. I need to get it online, but not recognizing the ethernet plug integrated to the motherboard. I cannot find the driver anywhere, even on the Dell website. Can anyone help?

Download the drivers in the link below, either burn them to a CD/DVD as a Data CD/DVD or put them on a memory stick, sometimes the drivers are compressed so don't forget to download winzip also and put that onto either a CD/DVD or a memory stick.
Basically when you have reformatted your computer put the disc or memory stick into your computer, double click the CD/DVD or memory stick and install the drivers, if there compressed uncompress them with winzip.
However make sure you install the BIOS then the chipset drivers first then install the rest hope this helps.
Did you try and let Widows 7 try to fix the problem. It usually does or gives you the results. I assume you checked all your connections and tried rebooting your modem and router and then the pc. Let me know by giving me some more information about the problem. Thanks for using FixYa

Do you know the motherboard mfg?
if it something other than the Dell then you can get the drivers.
USB drivers are mostly generic and are available at Microsoft. there is an application called "Driver Detective" and they are good. They check the computer and get everything you need.
