That depends on how often the door is opened during the day. If the fridge temp isn't to your liking, then set it to a colder number. you don't want milk or water to freeze. On the freezer side, you want it cold enough so that the ice from the ice maker doesn't stick together.
You could try cleaning the condensor coils. They are located under the fridge to clean you have to pull the fridge out, remove the bottem grill on the front and back and vacum or blow all the lint off of the coils. Hope this helps if so give us a 4 thumbs up.THANKS
You need to put a heat source in the fridge compartment near the fridge thermostat. Try putting a lower wattage bulb (40w) into the fridge compartment. Or even try this, take the door switch out of the fridge and short the two leads together. Tape the exposed ends with electrical tape and that should provide enough heat to keep your compressor on long enough to keep the freezer cold. Just remember to put the switch back in in the spring and summer months or you will have a real high electrical bill. Hope this helps you.
dependant on model if the freezer is ok then the fridge evaporator is iced up restricting air flow.. a 24/48hr total defrost usually cures the problem.. if it reoccurs then a more exploratory test of heaters and sensors will be required..Thanks
The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper)
between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it.
Make sure this fan is running. You may have to hold the door switch in for it
to run. There is a flap you adjust with
the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust
the fridge temp. The problem could be the electronic control if
you have one or the mechanical linkages.
well the coil being clean will just allow the compressor to function properly. You have a cold control problem. Too much air getting into the fridge. adjust the settings. Turn the settings to the fridge side warmer and the freezer side colder... then allow 24 hours to adjust... if still too cold then have a tech come out and service it it probably has mechanical problems
Fridge along bottom shelves is much colder than the very top shelf which has milk etc., leading to spoilage. Fridge is at highest setting. In the upper left rear of the fridge compartment, is a cover for what I believe to be a circulatory fan. However, trying to remove this cover is difficult. It seems that the clip nuts to which the two (2) small capscrews fasten are free wheeling and not allowing me easy access to the motor.
