My canon pixma ip1980, does not work the power ON, the cartridges were fine( they are new). please help me.

If you have lots of flashing error lights or electrical problems then it is likely to be electrical.

However, if like most... and your printer has just been left unused for some time? You probably have an ink clog on the print head?

Provided it worked OK before a period of non-use? Then you just need to use a PRINT HEAD CLEANING KIT to unclog the tiny jets.
