How does it charge? If the orange charge light stays on for only a short time and than turns off, you may need a new battery. Rechargeable batteries lose their capability of holding a charge. I would suggest trying a friend's battery and see if it resolves the problem.

My ds lite just switched off and it was charged

Hi, so if you try switching on the ds lite, nothing at all happens ??
Does the green light flash even if it is for like a split second. If it does then it is more likely top be a blown fuse. If 1 of your screens flicker also, this could be your problem as the ds will not start up with a broken screen. Please advise

My ds lite wont power on how can i fix it?

One of you're screens is broken or the F2 fuse has blown.

Check youtube for a video on "how to check my DS lite F2 fuses" there are several available that give step by step guidance on how to do this.

Having checked these (and replaced blown ones) and you're screens are still not working then it is a screen that has blown.

If the bottom screen flashes for a split second when you turn it on then it is you're TOP screen that has blown and needs to be replaced. If it doen't flash then it is you're bottom screen that is broken and needs to be replaced.

DS lite green light comes on, top screen flash, then switches off

Check L2 near the power switch on your DS mobo. That part usually get loosen or taken out when you drop your DS. And usually you can recover it when dismantling your DS.

Wont turn on

I'll quote GBATemp here:

symptom:
the ds lite powers up for a brief instant, but then shuts off
potential solution:
disassemble the lower shell and check the connections of upper and lower displays (all three flexible cable connections).

My nintendo lite wont turn on-the green lite is on but thats all-

Which LCD is blinking?

If your top screen is blinking before cutting off, your DS lite has a problem with the bottom screen.

If the bottom screen blinks before cutting off, your DS lite has a problem with the top screen.

Can you confirm?

Ds broken? Green light blinks, bottom screen flashes, turns off.

You will have to open it up and desolder the fuse that says, F2, and then solder a small piece of wire onto the two spaces that the fuse sat on in order for you to bridge the fuse because it's probably blown. Then try powering it up. If it works, then you have just repaired it. If it doesn't then there must be another fuse that is blown. Try testing the fuses with a multi-meter. I am guessing that it could be the F1 fuse if the F2 fuse was also the culprit. Do the same thing to bridge the F1 fuse and then it should work.
