HDD error I get the message: HDD error has occurred. Restart. I did what the book says to do, but the same message keeps coming up. Any ideas

1. Turn the power of the equipment OFF and check the
connection of the HDD.
- Connector and harness check
- Check if the connector pins of the HDD are bent.
- Check if HDD for other equipment is not installed.
- Check if SRAM for other equipment is not installed.
2. If the error still occurs after step 1, perform the following.
- HS-75 File System Recovery mode ? Recovery F/S ? /
imagedata, and then restart the equipment.
- Perform FS-FAX ? 11 FAX CLEAR MODE ? [CUSTOM
INITIALZE] ? [CLEAR DATA], and then restart the
equipment.
3. If the error persists after step 2, perform the following.
- Perform HS-73 Firmware Assist mode ? Format HDD, and
then install "System Software (HD data)" with HS-49
Firmware Update mode.
Notes:
The following items will be deleted by performing HS-73
Firmware Assist mode ? Format HDD.
• Message Log
• Job Log
• Spool Data (Print, Email reception)
• Template
4. If the error persists even after step 3, perform the following and
then reattempt step 3.
- HS-74 HDD Assist mode ? Revert Factory Initial Status
HDD.
5. If the error persists even after step 4, replace the HDD.
6. If the error persists even after step 5, replace the HDD
harness.
7. If the error persists even after step 6, replace the SYS board.

bad hdd is top cause
a tech simply tests the HDD , now.

Do you hear any type of clicking noise coming from your laptop?

Please book into a reputable PC repair shop for repair

number one reason for HDD failure is HDDs were made only
for the actual data storage , there is only one type of failure
on an HDD and that is the image that is placed on the HDD
by the RAM becomes corrupt , any and all other errors come
from an HDDs proprietary software such as one touch which
never works because the firmware of the HDD is grossly out
of date , they pretty much come new out of the box with
out of date software .

Go menu>Imaging>Camra

press F2 to get into the dell bios and be sure the HDD is listed as first to boot, Then if restart turns the same error, press F10 and run the pre-boot system assesment check. if error 0141 appears, your HDD is failing and needs to be replaced

More than likely you have a hard drive failing/failure.

You should have it looked at if you are not "comfortable" doing it yourself.

if u just out the hard disk drive in your laptop and cannect the other pc by usb cashing and copy your all data in the hdd,,
then after copy the data plug hdd in your laptop start to re load windows
