Samsung ps42a456p2 (42 inch plasma) won't power on, stays standby

Go to sleep timer in menu and hit button until it goes from max sleep (i.e. 90 minutes) down to 0 minutes or off.

Have you tried disconnecting the power supply and battery for about a minute.Then reconect the battery and power and restart.Has worked for me

Check the remote button said SLEEP in not on.Like it on a timer like 30,60,120 mins,turn it all off.Ur tv might be setting on a timer setup,check ur tv menu too.

with tv in standby press INFO / MENU / MUTE / STANDBY on remote tv will come on with service menu DO NOT CHANGE ANY SETTINGS
look at list you will see reset
ONLY USE DOWN NAVAGATION KEY until RESET is highlighted
then PRESS RIGHT NAVAGATION KEY the tv will reset
PRESS STANDBY TO EXIT
the tv will need retuneing after

sleep mode or timer? check settings
