Becomes frozen on 'Refresh Database' screen- help?

The only solution I found to work with the SAME problem was to 1. turn the player off (if you can't press the power button, then hold the power and menu button at the same time and it will turn off) 2. turn the hold switch to the right. 3. press the on and rec buttons simultaneously 4. connect to the computer 5. when the 16 MB folder comes up, create a folder called 'sansa.fmt' and disconnect the usb cable. *warning! this will erase everything, but it's seriously the only solution i've found that works!

Frozen sansa at refresh database

My e200 freezes on the “Refreshing Database” screen
STEP 1 – Reset the device
  1. Press the Power button and hold it for approximately 10 seconds.
  2. Release the Power button once the device is powered down.
  3. Turn the device back on.
STEP 2 – Download and Install the Sansa Firmware Updater

Frozen while on the refresh database screen

Try holding the power button for about 15-20 seconds. This usally shuts the whole thing down.

It may refresh the database as normal next time.

Frozen screen says: refresh database

tyr taking the battery out or try holding the power button and the play button at the sametime for 20 secs.

Frozen on Refresh Database

Take out the four screws on the back and pop out the battery then put it back on. Make sure you synced the songs properly. Add to the problem how you added your songs and I might be able to help.
