Kv 27ts27 set works fine except lost color. now black and white

what model is your tv set ???
tell me more about it and I might be more usefull
Might be a tuner failure if all your inputs work fine but your channels are black and white..

To add an exterior speaker to Sony KV-13M10, you have to have an AMPLIFIER.

• At the back of your TV you will be able to see 3 RCA output namely = VHF/UHF, Audio and Video.
• Use an RCA cable and connect to the Audio output.
• At the back of your amplifier, connect the other end of the RCA cable to an RCA input labeled Audio - L (left, usually in white color).
• Your speaker should be connected to your amplifier labeled output or audio out. The connection type depends on the make and model of your amplifier. The speaker wires usually come in red and black color. red goes to red, black goes to white.

A simple diagram will look like this:

TV audio out -------------> amplifier audio in (left, white color) amplifier audio out (left, white color) -----------> speaker (black wire) amplifier audio out (right, red color) ------------> speaker (red wire)

Thanks for using FixYa. This issue is caused by failed convergence ICs. I don’t think the issue is with the power supply of the unit as the sound is coming fine from the unit. Please also check the convergence board for cracked solder. If you want to do the repair yourself there are repair kits available which includes instructions on how to replace them. try a different tv set as it could be setting on you tv which is causing the black and white.

Could be because it is set to NTSC. Needs to be set to Pal.

how do i adjust the brightness if i dont have the controler?

If you turn the color all the way off the picture should have good black and white if not the crt is at fault. If it is good it could be the jungle ic or the possibly the red color driver in the crt board

there,s a lose connection on vertical section of your tv. to resolve that to \resolder the vertical section but be careful of short circuit t may damage your system

It sounds like the circuitry which actuates the color drives for the screen are not working, this would ba analogous to adjusting for a B&W picture on a color TV you have color but the screen shows black and white. I would get a schematic for this set and measure the voltages on the color processor that connects to the screen since you know that the external jack has color. If possible I can help you troubleshoot this, if you need me to help out.
