I would try rebooting the entire system to make it do a new search for satellites. i am a service and repair tecnician for mainly iridium satellite phones, and mobile Satellite terminals, such as iridium 9505, 9505A, 9500, and 9555 models, or the Thrane & thrane Explorer 300, 500, and 700 model satellite modems. For any of that information contact us at 206-329-1947

The dish cut out today. the satalite took hours to reset now it is on a dish infomerciall channel and our remote is not able to turn channes but still functions with the tv. we have an old box style...

Hey Ryno4606,

It is possible, while rare, for a remote to no longer be programmed to the receiver after a reset. To fix that a simple readdress should fix the problem. I have provided the steps below to assist you with that!

Addressing Remote to Receiver:

1.) Go to System Info screen.
2.) Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
3.) Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
4.) Press the pound (#) button.
5.) Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record.
6.) Test remote and see if works.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

I disconnected power from the tv to install carpet & im not sure if iam hooking it back up correctly

danny_burse

I am assuming when you say you disconnected power from the TV to install carpet, you disconnected the cables from the receiver to your TV. Depending upon your installation, you have a cable that comes from the dish located outside that is connected to a splitter and has 2 cables coming off the splitter. The 2 cables will connect to SAT 1 and SAT 2 on the back of the receiver. Your TV 2 connection either goes directly to your TV 2 or goes to a second separator, connected to the UHF/VHF connector. If you still have problems with the connections, please email me at [email protected] and I will assist you further.

MY dish remote is installed with the dish receiver. My dish remote though is not changing the channels. I already changed the batteries and it turned out to not be that. So what do I do?

Tierra_bush,

It's possible the remote may just need to be readdressed to the receiver. I've listed the steps below:

Addressing remote
1.) Go to System Info screen.
2.) Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
3.) Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
4.) Press the pound (#) button.
5.) Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record.
6.) Try the remote and see if it is working.

Does the dish network 322 receiver require two lines from the satellite to the receiver?

It does require 2 lines form dish unless you have a switch installed such as a dp34 or you have Dish Pro plus LNB"S on your dish and you can use 1 feed to the reciver and use a separator to separate the signal into sat 1 and sat 2 (note: a standard splitter is NOT a separator) a separator is dish brand equipment.

Dish dvr reception keeps cutting out

Hi mikej10x! I will be more than glad to assist you in this concern. You mean, intermittent signal? If that is the concern mikej10x, lets isolate the problem, 1st check the sat in 1 and sat in2 if the cable is connected tight, as well as the separator, diplexers, all device that is connected to the line of sat in, then press the power button on the front panel of the receiver for 10secs, receiver will turn off and then turn on by itself, then attention 015 will pop up on the screen, then press the menu button right away once you see the attention 015, then main menu will show on the screen and once main menu is up, press 6,1,1 on the remote control and it will go to the point dish screen, select check switch on the upper right and it will go to installation summary screen, select test on the bottom of the screen and it will run a test up to 2 of 2 or depends on the sat you have, once its done it will show the installation summary, sat input 1 & 2, port1-119-ok, port2-110-ok, once you see that all sat is ok, select done and it will go to point dish, select done again and then cancel all the way out and it will pop up attention 015, let the progress finish until it download the programming guide. the picture will show. observe if problem still exist. if the problem still exist, call 1-800-333-3474 ask for tech support and once you talk to a live agent, ask for a service call, there is a problem on you sat dish system, it could be the lnbf, switch, or the separator or cable connection. or it needs to re aligned the dish.. but before you call, check first if there is no trees or leave blocking on the dish to the southern sky, no obstruction.. please feel free to get in touch if you have any query.

NOT CORRECTLY IDENTIFY SAT

The HD feed comes in on 61.5 for a majority of stations most often locals come off 119 or 110. The USA hd comes off of 61.5 transponder 19.If you press menu 611 on your dish remote and manuever the highlight to the satellite and go to 61.5 and then change the transponder to 19 you will probably have a poor signal from 0 -39. Typically this can be resolved by having the dish re-peaked but sometimes foilage may be the cause. Thanks for using Fix Ya.
