Sometimes you're better off to uninstall the old OS, and then install the upgrade. If you have files to save, store them on removable media, then format the drive, then install the upgrade. During the process, it will ask for the VISTA product key, and the windows 7 product key

Testimonial: "Right on the money. Thank you."

http://www.driveridentifier.com/

I highly recomend you this freeware software since i'm pretty sure it can get you most of the drivers. However, in order for this tool to find the drivers you're looking for, you have to run it in the computer you need the drivers for.

if you can't get online with the computer, go to http://drp.su/drivers/notebooks/?v=Acer&m=Aspire%205515&id=11024&l=en and download the network drivers, get online, download the tool (first link), run it and download your drivers.

if you still can't get your drivers, reply this message telling me the problems you had and i will tell you how to make the windows vista drivers work with windows 7.

I cant find a ethernet driver for windows 7 home premium for my acer aspire t120c after updating from windows xp home 32 bit

Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "AcerSupport" (without the quotes). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Download andinstall the drivers. If you don't see windows 7 drivers, maybe the vista drivers will work. Give it a try.

Acer aspire 5580 upgraded with windows 7(previous ly with windows vista home premium)- camera not working

From looking at the Acer support site it looks as if they haven't sorted out the driver files for Window 7 yet for the Bison, Logitech and Suyin webcams. I've had mixed success in the past by downloading and installing the older drivers for Vista but it's pretty hit and miss. Hopefully the afore mentioned manufacturer's are working on providing updated drivers for Windows 7 very soon.

I have the acer5715/5315 series abd it crashed. I had it fixed and the guy put windows 7 so now none of my acer programs work. How can I get these to work with windows 7

Operating System Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2
Windows XP Home with Service Pack 2
Windows Vista Home Premium
Windows Vista Home Basic
Windows Vista Starter

1. Before upgrading to windows 7, you must check the specification of your acer aspire 5315.

2. Windows 7 is better than windows vista but if you are really wanted those acer programs to work. You have to downgrade your operating system from your previous operating system.

I installed the Windows 7 Home Premium upgrade (store bought) and now my Acer Aspire 5735 gets blue screens, shuts itself down, and random programs get the "**** has stopped working" message.

you shouldn't of installed it because if you would of ran the windows 7 compatibility thing that is on the disc, it would say that your computer is incompatible. You should buy another copy of windows xp and install that.

Replace the Vista Home Premium with XP on ASPIRE M1202

Your best option is to upgrade to Windows 7. It is free for (I believe all) Vista users, and you can run programs in XP compatibility mode.

I need a serial number from a acer notebook running windows vista premium/home premium. Mine is a 751h and runs basic, so they won't ship me the free upgrade. However, there are videos all over the...

The free upgrade is sent out by the laptops manf. directly to you as long as you bought the laptop in the past 4 months. It is regardless of the current version of Windows Vista that you are running. According to an article found here

"Acer says "shipments will begin in increments. All orders will be handled on a first-in, first-out basis." So if you bought a computer last week, you could be at the end of a long line."

Best you can do at the moment is just wait, your not going to be able to do much till Acer ships out that upgrade. Even if you did install Windows Vista Premium, you would be stuck till you got the Windows 7 from the manf.
