I have a 42 inch flat screen tv with a built in dvd player. the tv keeps going from channel to nothing its not shuting off its a blank screen ive only had the tv for 6 months what do i do the remote wont work channels wont change nothing

Unless the set has EXTERNAL INPUT jacks you are done.

U might be putting them in the wrong places or the wrong channel try and go through the channels but make sure they are hooked up right cause it will mess the TV up I did it on time and had to go get me another one cause I messed the sound up Hope this helps ya

I also have this television, and it baffled me too. Apparently the 42PMA400E isn't so much a television, it's more of just a "display unit". It hasn't got any built-in channels (can't even connect an aerial into it) and hasn't got any speakers either. To use as a television, you need to connect a reciever (I use a DVD player, as I only use it for the Xbox) to it to display the video, and get some surround sound speakers to connect to the DVD player.

Got to be more specific than that! what cables are you using etc. Not Miss Cleo here.

perhaps the tv needs to scan for the channel tha the PS3 is on.

On some sets there is a button on your remote marked "TV/VIDEO" or some such text. With your tv and player hooked up and working, pushing that button will switch from TV to video and back.

On other sets, if you keep changing channels, you will eventually come to one that turns off the video broadcast and plays the DV.

i have the same problem and find that if i freeze then unfreeze the screen it works

Your TV may not support your HD channel signal. Check with HD DVD & non-HD DVD players to confirm.

Check the signal type. It may be set incorrectly. Change the channel. You may be on a blank channel. Check to see if the TV is tuned to channel 3 or 4 if you are watching a videotape. Check the TV/VCR button on the VCR is in the correct mode by pressing the TV/VCR button on your VCR.
