You will need the contract. All Xerox machines made within the last few years unfortunately REQUIRE a XEROX authorized laptop computer in order to make any adjustments or to even get into the service mode. You can do the normal stuff and just pay by the call down the road when you need it but Xerox will charge you an arm and a leg for parts and labor.
If the machine is new, depending on your monthly volume you should expect to pay about 1 cent per page Black and 8 cents per page full color. Again these prices can vary based on your volume. The more pages you run the cheaper the cost per page.
