Nerf controller I have a nerf ps2 controller that doesnt work the red light on the receiver that you put into the system dont light up do you have any Idea how this thing works. Thanks Ray
Check the battery pack on the back of the controller. It's been known to not have good contact at times. I would also try changing the battery. Good luck. :)

try cleaning the jack at the end of the controller with a pin by the contact points then blow out the dust. Also watch the ps2 system where the controller jacks in sometimes the the contact points in the game gets bent try straightening them!
Look at the controller and see if the red light is on in the middle of the controller if it is not press the black rectangle button above the red light. If that dont work then your controller ports on the system might be dirty and need a light cleaning ....or you dont have a ps2 controller you might have a ps1 controller. Hope this helped
The PS2 has always had trouble with certain discs. And yes you can often tell by the "color". RE4 although from ancient was pre PS3 and basically some of the newer games wont work on the "old" PS2's as well. Partially due to the fact they are a bit dirtier and worn out and cant read the faster speeds as well. You might want to consider purchasing a "new" PS2 ($99) that wont have the same problem.
take batteries out control and put back in...turn off ps2 and while holding the button on the ir piece connected to ur ps2..turn it on and dont let go till game has fully come on...should work..if the red controller light still keeps blinking after doin it a few times then change your batteries
try to hold the red button & see if it works.
if not then turn the ps2 off & try again.
if it doesnt work then look for a nearby ps2 repair shop. dont go reparing over 90 pounds when you can get a new one.
hope for the best, eh.
GOOD LUCK!!!!
