hi found a link to a user manual, its very hard to read it, very small writing and not to clear but got basics of phone working, still need to find a hard copy of user manual thx

there is a tiny button at the base of the phone, just to the right of where the phone jack is plugged into the phone. Three settings - Hi, Lo and Off

If you have digital telephone with cable. First thing you should do is contact the billing department of your service provider. Make sure you are in billing for caller id. If you are let them know you are not receiving service you are paying for. Have them check your number in the switch. Which is the system that allocates each call that is made to and from your number. If this feature is not activated properly in the switch you might be paying for a service that is not properly activated. If all is correct with service provider. Try using another phone that has the caller id feature just to make sure it's not the actual phone. If both phones still doesn't display caller id. You should have your service provider send out a technician to troubleshoot your home telephone lines to make sure all phone jacks and telephone lines are secure and corrosion free, and have them verify service while there. You should also ask about a credit for the time the service was activated until the time the service actually worked.

on my phone you hit SET/SAVE, press UP/DOWN to find the function you want, press SET/SAVE again to select, press UP/DOWN key to program. press SET/SAVE to confirm. i can email you a copy of my manual if you'd like. my email is [email protected] hope this helps.

might be the IP funtion is on. this is not available in the USA. press SET/SAVE, press Up to select "SET 4 AUTO IP", press SET/SAVE to select, press UP to change setting, press SET/SAVE to confirm. if you'd like a copy of my manual for the phone, email me at [email protected] and i will send a copy in 2 different formats so you'll be sure to be able to open at least one of them. hope i helped.

there is a "special feature" for privacy that can be turned on or off...when on it is supposed to keep others from eavesdropping - but it actually will not let other phones work...turn that off (settings 1 is for date, go to settings8) and it will complement your other phones and work.!!
