It could be that there is a Virus in the CD.. In that case I'd suggest that you download all the software from Philips support site.

For getting videos from youtube you need to download youtube robot. Using Windows Media Player works well for syncing videos on mp3 players.

just download youtube converter it is freeware.add the file ,choose the format i.e avi ,get the output file .now load it on philips media converter it will read and work.

Use a download program or rip media to your computer, use the music converter included or drag your media files to your mp3 player folder found in My Computer.
this should all be in the manual though.
