Little or no sound JVC RX6010V

Little or no sound: I have minimal volume coming through from TV or DVD on my JVC RX-6010V receiver. I have recently connected a digital cable box to the system and now have volume through the radio and CD player, but very limited volume through the TV or the DVD player. I can turn the volume knob all the way up to 80 and the volume is low.

How do I connect a turntable with RCA cables?

You can't. There is no provision for a turn table on this model receiver.

JVC 6010V shows zero on volume wont go up or down

This is a fault on the D/A digital / Analogue converter , The volume control being analogue is not processing the data in the cicuit and so there is no change in the level. This can be a fault in the IC - the D/A convertor IC which is not giving any response with the turn of the potentiometer. So check this within the amplifier ONLY if you are able to trace the circuit and replace the IC connected to the potentiometer.

I have a JVC RX 554v Receiver when it's turned on I have no sound their is a mute auto light that's lit in the window....Tried changing the speaker wires with no results...

From the remote control only: Press MUTING to turn off the sound through all speakers and headphones connected. "MUTE" appears on the display and the volume turns off. To restore the sound, press MUTING again. Turning MASTER VOLUME or pressing VOLUME +/- also restores the sound.

I have this JVC RX-6010V Receiver, how can I connect my microphone to the unit?

Get a microphone (with a) preamp and follow ITS instructions. It only accepts RCA Line Level analog signals.

My JVC receiver won't play my left front speaker. The right one seems to work fine but when I plug in the left it is virtually silent. i too have had a few "overload" incidents and am running two JBL 8...

swap the wires around to see if the right speaker will give sound on the left channel. If it does, the it's a blown left speaker. If you don't get sound out the right one either, then the left channel ouput has a bad capacitor somewhere in it.

My jvc rx-6010v is OVERLOADING?

The very FIRST thing to check is to make certain ALL of your speakers have an IMPEDENCE of 8 OHMS. (JVC - and others - say SIX ohms, but 8 is the "standard" you should use.) Virtually all speakers of even modest quality will include this specification on a label on the back of the speaker. You CANNOT run more than (2) TWO speakers with 4 OHMs impedence on ANY amplifier (technical discussion too long!) [NOTE: The internal overload protection system you mention is designed to help prevent permanent damage. However, you cannot re-set these systems yourself. Your dealer or authorized JVC service center must do this. Note, though, that if you have attempted to "cheat" the system several times, damage CAN be done that requires servicing.] But, before you take the unit in for service, there is one more "test": check for shorted and/or mis-connected/disconnected speaker cables/wires. Visually inspect connections at the receiver and speakers first. You might find something obvious! If everything looks okay, then disconnect ALL of the speakers; and reconnect and test them one at a time (at relatively low volume.) For example, reconnect the left front speaker, test the system; THEN add the right front, test the system, and so on, ADDING one more speaker each time - FIRST MAKING SURE EACH OF THEM HAS AN IMPEDENCE OF AT LEAST 8 OHMS! IF there is a short (or bad speaker) this will help isolate it. Hopefully one of these "fixes" will work for you. GOOD LUCK!
