Found a Sunbeam power plus mixmaster in atorage.

Found a Sunbeam power plus mixmaster in storage. Catalog# 1-150 Service# 1-15H. It is stainless steel. .came with 2 bowls and a dough hook. No other attachments found but there is a place on front for attachments. Can I have any info on this..how old etc.?

The flat rubber feet are melting due to age, but otherwise it works.

I have a sunbeam mixmaster mx9500. When i turn on, the whisk struggles to rotate at all and there is a crunching sound coming from inside. What should I do, can I repair myself? Its out of warranty.
Not knowing how handy you are I would try to take the top of the mixer apart and see what is going on. It sounds like one of your gears is either slipping or has some broken teeth. If you don't want to tackle it a small appliance repair shop should be able to fix it for you.

How do I tighten the speed control dial on a vintage Sunbeam Mixmaster PowerPlus?
There is a cover plate over the screw that you need to tighten. This cover plate is held in place by two spring latches, 180 degrees apart. Use a small flat-tip screwdriver to depress first one latch, then the other. Don't use too much force - the latches are plastic and will break if treated roughly.

My sunbeam mixmaster is about 40 years old and suddenly stopped working
The running capacitor finally died. I used to be their factory service tech. You can change it easily by removing the back knob and the handle. The screws are under the silver buttons. The capacitor looks like a 3/4 x 1 1/4' tube with a small nib sticking out each end.
