Starts but wont run with choke off

My Yard Works was set at the factory to run with the choke partially on. They said it has something to do with the air pressure where we live. Otherwise if it has to have the choke on full then there should be a screw to set it so it will run with the proper setting

Craftsman ys4500 mower-- starts great and runs ok at low speed but at full throttle sputters and pops and of course loses power

sounds like your choke is not opening up all the way fast easy test, take a sharpe pen and mark priar adjustment on choke cable. next; remove cable from carb, then hold chokeopen start give full throttle{no difference} carb kit

Crafsman 25cc weedwacker won't stay running

You probably have a bad hose or a bad hose connection that is sucking mostly air instead of delivering full fuel to the carburetor!

My craftsman weedwacker starts on full choke then at half choke it still runs but i have to really rev it and then when i move choke to off it dies

This is fuel starvation, start with easy things first, replace the fuel filter in the tank, check the condition of the fuel hoses up to the carb for splits, cracks or leakage, replace if required

Craftsman 32cc Trimmer Runs with choke at idle, then stalls

Sounds like somewhere you have a air leak. Most likely it's somewhere near the carburetor intake or maybe the carb itself. Could be a line from the primer if it has one and i do believe it should that could be leaking or loose. Good luck.

Engine only runs with choke full on. Dies when off full choke.

Hi Dave, it sounds crazy, but try this. Check your gas cap. It could be clogged, causing a vacuum to occur in the tank, and therefore not allowing the carb. to take on gas. It usually take 10-15 min. for this to occur. The next time you run the mower and it starts to stall out, loosen the gas cap and see if it begins to run again. If it does, then you know that the gas cap is clogged.

Craftsman gas leafblower

Hey Karl,

To me this sounds like its getting too much fuel after it has been warmed up so either there is too much gas flow to the unit or there is not enough. check your primer bulb once this happens if there is a full bulb when it shuts down chances are its getting too much gas, if its empty then its not getting enough and your fuel filter could be starting to plug up or is not in the tank properly.

Rough Running

It depends on the type of engine but it sounds like your carbeurator is running lean. there is and mixture adjustment screw on most of the older models, alot of the newer carbs. are pre set to emission standards. try a fuel additive called sea foam, this product has solved solved many of my fuel related issues.
