Hello,

It is common for these valves to "appear" to be ok, meaning they begin to allow water into the unit, but then one of the two coils or plungers inside fail, or are clogged with mineral deposit from the water or other debris.

Change the valve and you should be fine. part #1164471, you can find it at select parts depots or on-line retailers like repairclinic.com etc.

** Hire a pro or make sure to use a good replacement clamp on the fill line to the tub when you replace the valve, as well as some plumbers puddy/tape on the inlet fitting. Those little buggers have alot of water pressure going thru them when they open and I've seen them come off or leak due to insufficient fastening/loose clamps, then your machine goes into "flood mode".**

Asko seems to be repeating their past. On the earlier DW95 series (mid 90's to around 2000ish) they had a dual valve inlet which had a single valve rework issued to repair the faulty dual valves, now it looks like they're doing it again. Go figure.

Hope that helps, let me know.

Good Luck :)

All im going to say is i think you have a faulty inlet valve.the water is probably only trickling into the machine & taking forever to fill, the computer board has probably picked up that the washer is taking to long to fill & has thrown up a fault code relating to the fill or inlet valve. Also sometimes if the filters in the bottom are clogged the water cant get to the wash motor & the motor cant load up with water. The motor runs without load on it & the computer board interprets this as slow fill or inlet valve problem.

Water inlet fault

Does it fill water at all? If not, the water valve is defective. If it fills, but then stops, it may be possible to program it to fill on time, instead of volume.

Asko D3530 Dishwasher Water Inlet Fault

I did research on the net and asko mention a special settings menu in the pdf manuals available
you can download a manual but there is a reference to water not entering the washer in the manual and how to trouble shoot it
Pressure pumps deliver water at pressures from 35 psi to 60 psi and if you have checked all of the slow fill reasons , maybe checking the on/off pressure switch for the pump would be a place to investigate
the machine will start when the water has reached the level set
anyway go google and type in - workshop manual for asko dishwasher model d3530 --and download a pdf version to read

I have an asko D3530 dishwasher. I'm getting an error message "water inlet failed". The manual says to check the inlet valve. Where is that?

Where you connect the water line from your house to the dishwasher you will find the waterline goes into a plastic body with an electrical wiring harness connected to it. You will have to take the panel off the back of the dishwasher at the water in line to see it. It is just an open/close electrical valve to control water flow

Asko w6 222 has a F1 error. how do I fix it. thanks Rose

Hello Rose, here is a chart to help you identify what the problem is with your asko
Failure
Code
Condition Check/Repair F1 Water supply/low water fill · Check water supply to machine
·Replace water inlet valve F2 Water level too high · Plugged/Bad water pump
· Faulty water valve F3 Pump problem Check pump trap and clean. F4 Thermistor problem · Open thermistor, replace
· Bad wiring to thermistor F5 Fault in thermal cutout or heating pause fault. Selected temperature not reached in 90 minutes · Check heating element
· Check thermostat F6 Motor fault · Check wiring to motor
· Replace motor if necessary F7 Door lock release fault · Bent pull-rod for door latch
· Bad door latch solenoid 00 00 Machine did not spin Check load for out of balance Redistribute load and restart
usually this means the water valve that the hoses are connecting into the machine has gone bad and needs to be replaced if your looking to order the part online i would suggest marcone appliance parts they seem to be the cheapest when it comes to repair parts and they are also one of the biggest I hope this opinion has helped in your appliacne situation and if i can answer any further questions please message me back. Please also remember to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation
Thanks again

Fault indication: water inlet fault

see if there is a blockage in the level switch. the switch operates on air pressure within the dip tube and the diaphragm in the switch. there may be a spider's nest in the tube or a wasp's nest in the tube.

I got this with another dishwasher. On that one it meant the water wasn't feeding into it (tap switched off, kink in inlet tube, etc.)
