I have a 1953 moffat bake master, I think it is a common 220 volt stove plug for that unit. Back in the day most electric stoves were hardwired at the wall, so I would say to look at the model number plate and just see that it is a 220 volt stove before you put a plug wire on it.

Where is the fuses located on a moffat stove

There are none. It is wired into the buildings electrical panel. You have to know where the circuit breaker panel is to find a tripped breaker

My whirlpool electric stove not turning on

Make sure it is plugged in and you have power to your house. If everything is dead check your fusebox for blown fuses if you have circuit breakers reset the breaker for the stove by turning it off then back on. If the burners on the top work, but the oven won't you probably have a burned out bake element .To change this turn off power to the stove and unplug remove 2 or 3 screws holding the bake element and remove the wires to the element by loosing the screws on the terminals note sometimes bake elements plug in in this case just unplug. Reverse process to install. Reapply power and test.

Model: JDS8850AAS -- Oven won't preheat above 150

Hello,

The problem beleive it or not is that the bake ignitor is weak ,and it is not drawing the proper amprage to open the gas valve. If you have a amp meter access the wires to the bake ignitor(usually behind the storage drawer) and check for 3.3-3.6 amps when oven is set to bake by clamping the meter around ONE wire wire of ignitor make sure only one wire, either one and not both.
if amp draw less than 3.3-3.6 amps replace bake ignitor. I know it seems improbable that if the ignotor comes on that it could be the problem.Professional appliance technicians who would charge a average of $250.00 to repair your oven, have found when the ignitor comes on yet the oven won't heat that a weak ignitor is the cause 100% of the time

Hope this helps

Whirlpool M# SF330PEWW3 ignitor comes on, but there is no gas for the oven to light. Stove top works fine.

Broil element just warm, bake element not working

Hey -have ya tried checking the power block on the back of the stove? This is the first thing I check when power appears to be uneven. Connections may be loose enough to disrupt power flow to the elements. If wires look good, the next step is to find out if the bake element has failed. From the back you can see the wires that attach to the element. Disconnect and check resistance.  should be around 17-19ohms. If not replace with new.  Please acknowledge this post if the info was helpful. Have more if needed  Thanks-- Ed

Does a moffat oven need a 30amp cooker socket or is it ok on a 13amp plug

Unless your talking about one of those tiny, table top ovens, dont use a 13 amp socket / connection.

An electric oven must be connected via a 30 amp SUPPLY - the socket is just the connector at the end of the cable that runs from the fuse / breaker board. A 30 amp supply will use a much thicker cable capable of handing the higher currents.

Whilst a very basic oven may draw less than 13 amps current when operating in some modes, most will draw well in excess of this depending on what facilities they have, e.g. bake and grill at the same time, or maybe a combi-oven - one that can bake and microwave at the same time.

Just not workin

maybe a loosing wire. move the stove , disconect power and take the cover and look for a loosing wire at the bake element or a burning bake element
