There is a fuse inside the microwave oven but i don't recommend opening the oven and changing it. There are high voltages inside even when the oven is disconnected from the mains.
But if you are careful enough, you can change it. If it has a electronic control (With a digital display) maybe there is another fuse on the controller board, near the front panel.
Before even opening the oven, make sure it doesn't work on another power outlet.
And make sure you change it with the same type and rating of fuse!

Reset magic chef micorwave breaker

If it doesn't come back on its own, it probably blew its internal fuse. If it blew while the unit was in operation, then I would suggest replacing the fuse holder as well. If it blew when you opened the door, then you may have a bad or mis-adjusted door switch.

While changing the light bulb under the unit, the wire connected to the light bulb holder touched the metal housing and totally blew out the microwave so it doesn't work.

normally there is a glass fuse in the circuit where the power comes in
check that fuse/ replace if necessary
As silly as it sounds --turn the equipment of at the wall before you work on it as it might have been you that blew and not the fuse

GE Spacemaker microwave makes groaning sound when start button is pressed for a second or two then blows the internal fuse. After replacing the fuse everything seemed to work, lights, exhaust fan, cl

Could be a lot of things but most probably a shorted high voltage diode assembly. If not that then the magaetron or capactors. Remember be careful there are high voltages even when the oven is unpluged. The capactors are usually charged and must be discharged. If you don't know what yor doing then time to get a qualfied tech.

Good luck

If the microwave oven is less than 7 years old the problem is in the magnetron, " the most expensive part " or the inverter board, either way costly adventure, good for target practice.

No power to viking microwave unit.tripped fuse in house and than reset fuse but doesnt work.

Check to see if you have a "reset" button on your microwave, or even just by pressing the "clear" button first. Check to see if you have a "master" or "red" reset or "test" button nearest to your microwave on a light switch and reset that if applicable. You could also check to see if your unit has a fuse and replace that. It's possible when you tripped the fuse in the house you might have blown the fuse in the microwave.

Hi, When my GE jvm1650bb microwave starts, it begins to work and then blows the fuse in the house. Does this every time, the circut is not overloaded. Is their a part that went bad that I can replace?

Try your oven on another circuit in your house. It is curious that your oven doesn't blow its own fuse before the house one. If it doesn't blow the fuse in the "new" circuit, check to see what is really on the kitchen circuit. It might, in fact, be overloaded. Good luck.

Microwave doesn't work after house fuse blew

Check the fuse inside the microwave. Unplug the power, remove the case screws on the back of the main case and slide the case toward the back. Remove the outer case and look for a fuse that looks simular to an old automotive fuse, usually near or just above the control panel. Check the fuse to see if it is good, if not replace with the same and reassemble reversing method used to access the fuse. Note: automotive fuses will not work. A replacement will be available at The Shack or a local appliance parts store.
