Hello. I have an Avital 4103 system and the key light on the dash does not go out after starting the car, inserting the ignition key and turning. I can drive the car, but the key light keeps flashing and will not go out. This system was installed by a professional, so I hope they know what they are doing. Can someone advise what may be the cause? Thanks.

If your Avital starts randomly then most likely it is a simple fix. First off, is it set for tach mode? If so, try setting the tach learn at a higher rpm. You can do this by slightly revving the engine (try around 1000-1200 rpm) when you teach it the tach mode. If you are getting the tach signal at a coil pack then try moving it to the neg pulse of a fuel injector (typically this works better than the actual tach wire). If it still starts randomly (common on Ford V6 engines) then set it for voltage sense and try .08 second crank time.
