Double vision and no convergence to adjust it. it is a RCA R52WM24 52 in. HDTV
I had the same problem. Thanks to the many posts on this site I was able to deduct that it was the Fusible Link F231. Was able to purchase them at mouser.com. Part# 576-3960400000 Littelfuse Fuses - A 125V UL TL LL .400A . They are only 55 cents plus shipping. I bought 5 for under $10 shipped. Only took 2 days to get them. Replaced it (needs to be re-soldered to board) and TV works like a charm!! I couldn't believe it. What a lifesaver!! Now I'm set if the fuse goes again...
LeadTech,
I had the same problem as Arynsunn and Dorito. I was able to find and replace fusible link F231 and it worked for 2.5 days. Today, turned the tv on and the fuse must have blown again. We want to replace the convergence IC's, but cannot find them. Other posts show big (2 x 3") IC's on the back of heat sinks, but there is nothing that looks like that in our tv. Can you point us to the convergence IC's in this TV (RCA R52WM24)? Thanks so much for your help.

I have found that fusible link FL231 is the main cause of this problem. It's located by the high voltage transformer and looks like a square coil.
Check it with an ohm meter and if it checks bad, then, replace it and you should not have to realign the convergence.
Any questions or comments, respond to this post and I will reply.

Bummer I mean I dont know What to do,Dude
Thanx i was able to find the fuse and it is blown, but i was wondering where you can buy the fuse link and if maybe you knew a part number for it? All I see is 396, and the rating (T400ma).
Oh Dorito if you look on the bottom left side in the tray you will see a large black transformer. Just to the right of it are 3 tiny red rectangles, those are the fusible links. The one he mentioned (FL231) is in the center, and should read a rating on top of it for 400 ma.
Yeah, I couldn't find that exact fusible link so my brother who works with electric and electronic equipment is going to use a different fuse. But I dont suggest doing it yourself if you dont know how to solder the fuse to the circuit board. I suggest finding a friend or someone who knows someone who has eitheir worked as an electrician or anything in electronic repair like computers, vcrs, game systems etc. They would more likely know what they are doing and might do what im gonna do.
So I'll let you know if using a different fuse works.
Oh I wouldnt pay that much for labor because the fuse is less than 5 dollars. So I would try to find someone who could help you or who would fix it for a lot cheaper.
Ok just for the record we used a 500 instead of the 400 and it worked so the tv is fixed thank you leadtech for your help and good luck Dorito. i'll keep in touch to see if you were able to fix your tv.
I own the same RCA Projection TV (Model R52WM24). The TV was working fine this morning until I turned it off then back on only to find 3 lines across the TV (red, green and blue)
Now the images on the screen are appearing three times each one in the red, green and blue.
Is this the same Convergence Problem and can it be fixed by changing the FL231 fuse?
Thanks
BC
We are having the same problem with the 3 lines and the 3-d look. Where do I get the part to fix is and is it something that the average person can fix. We have had this tv a little over one year. Thanks.
Having the same picture problem, 2yrs. 1 day after buying it. i hope your solutions work, it sound better than anything I've found so far.
