Dishwasher leave debris on dishes

The dishes go in rinsed and food-free, they come out with pieces of food or something over everything! Is there a filter or something I need to clean?

There is no filter except the screen in the water inlet valve to keep big pieces of grit in the water from defecting the inlet valve..
i dont know exactly why but it sounds like your unit was not installed with a recommended air gap in the drain or something similar and somehow dirty sink/drain/sewer water is making its way back into the unit and onto your dishes.
often times there is a little rubber check valve/flapper in the drain line either installed in the pump or the drain hose just after the pump to keep foreign material from entering the unit..
other than that it would just be mineral and calcium deposits if you are on well water or chunky city water..
hope this helps,
best of luck,
ttfn

Dishwasher leaving debri and food partical on dishes. the top arm seams to be not moving but water is getting threw.

top arms are normally free-wheeling, depending on water pressure from beneath to operate and distribute the rinse water. Is it possible you have dishes or utensils being placed in the top rack which would prohibit the arm from turning?

Don't be afraid now, but , what I'n going to tell you works VERY often. Pour two cups of bleach into the washer and let it run a potscrubber cycle. They do this all the time at restaraunts, yes really! Let me know how this turns out. P.S. leave the machine empty when you run it. Thanks, Dana

Dishwasher rinsing with dirty water-help

Now is a good time to remove the spray arm and the filter/strainer underneath it. Clean everything you remove in the sink. With a flashlight, inspect everywhere in the sump area and remove debris (watch out for broken glass!) Inspect the impeller, making sure it is not broken and that is spins freely. While you are in there, look carefully at the heating element for damage and breaks.
Reassemble and test. If it continues to leave a film on the dishes (especially visible on the glassware) suspect the heating element (no kidding) If it is not heating during the final rinse and drying cycle, that is your main problem.
If problems continue when the heating element is working, then the wash motor is failing and needs to be replaced.
Good Luck, please post back here with what you find, OK?

Rinsing agent not dispensing

the problem is hard water. go to www.dishwasherfilter.com. they have a filter designed specifically for this problem. it filters the water going into your dishwasher leaving your dishes crystal clean with every load. it is very affordable and guaranteed to work.

Food on dishes

Dish washers are not good at removing food debris.  They filter the water somewhat but in the main, they recirculate whatever was on the plates when you put them in plus the detergent.  The rinse takes all grease and solubles away.  Scrape your dishes of as much as you can before putting them in.  Use a good detergent in the amount specified.
