I loaded my duet washer, closed the door and the control light is stuck on and it won't start any cycle. Can you help? I did unplug the washer but it won't reset.
i have a whirlpool 6th sense front loader have tried everything i can think of reset button , turning plug on and off... but the lock light still keeps flashing and wont do a cycle.......
Someone has enable the child lock feature. One of the buttons should say hold 3 secs for control lock under its normal function description. Hope this helps
The first thing to try is to hold the cancel button for 15 seconds. The more labor intensive solution is this: Remove the panel beneath the door (2 or 3 screws). Reach up, there is a
little "ring" beneath the door lock. Pull this down, it releases the
mechanism.

Front load washers won't fill if the door is not closed and locked. Listen for the door locking when starting a cycle, then pull on the door to make sure the door is closed and locked.
Delayed Start Feature
Some washers have a delay prior to filling, where the electronic control is checking the dispenser function. This is Normal.
Flashing Lights or Error Code on Display
When there is a filling issue, the washer may shut off and display one of the following codes: LF, LE, nF, IE, FH, E10 or F20.
If the washer is displaying one of the above error codes, then do the hard reset procedure listed below.
If the appliance is not accepting input from the control panel, follow the steps below to reset the control:
Unplug or turn the circuit breaker off for 30 seconds.
Plug the power cord into the wall outlet or turn the breaker back on and wait 30 seconds.
Press the Pause / Cancel / Stop button twice to clear the display.
Start a short cycle, to check operation of the appliance, by selecting a cycle and pressing and holding the start button until the appliance starts.
Put clothes in washer like always and pushed control button to start the cycle. No lights appeared on for any cycle or the digital timer window. The only light that remains on is the "controls locked" in the verticle status row leds on the left side of control panel. The door was closed. I unplugged and re-plugged the machine for possible reset and there is no change.
This error code indicates that the door is not locking. Is the washer door firmly shut?
The door must be completely closed for the washer to operate. The door may look as if it's closed, but it may not be latched. Open the door and firmly close it. Were you washing a large load?
Before you close the washer door, check for laundry items sticking out beyond the door opening. Leave enough space in the washer to allow the clothes to freely tumble. Reduce your load size if needed. To remove the error display, press Pause/Cancel twice.
If Pause/Cancel does not work:
Unplug the washer or disconnect the power for one minute.
Plug in the washer or reconnect the power.
Re-select the cycle and press Start.
NOTE: If the error remains on the display, and all of the other conditions above have been checked, call for service.
sounds as if you have a bad door latch assy, the unit is not recognizing the door closed, so when the button depressed probly only beeps 3 times at you. check the lock/latch for an obvious broken part
The trouble could be with the door interlock. When the clothes were jammed in the door it could have caused the door latch to put strain on the interlock.
sounds like your door lock switch may not engage.try opening and closeing the door. unplug the unit wait a few minutes plug back in and see if you can open the door. check to see if the door lock lights up.. hope this helps..
