Background noice on tv is too load, can't hear voice.

Look carefully in Menu---many Toshiba sets have a HALL or Theater setting which will make background louder than people talking--likely your problem and the owner manual should explain this.

I have an 883R converted to a 1200 w/Andrews Cams and a Mukini Carb. Since the conversion the top end leaked oil which a friend changed the gaskets on. However, since he changed the gaskets, the...

I'm going to guess at this one since I can't hear it. I'm going to guess a blown head gasket. People describe the noise in different ways. Some say it sounds like a squeak and I think it sounds like a whistle. Let the bike sit overnight and get stone cold. Before you try to start the bike, pull the spark plug wires off the plugs but leave the plugs in the heads. Open the throttle wide open but leave the enricher off. Turn on the ignition and press the starter button. Is the noise louder when you do this or is it louder when the engine is warm. If it's a head gasket, it should be louder when the engine is cold.

The only thing on the upper left side of the engine is the rocker arms and valve springs. There is a possibility that your friend got the center portion of the rocker box cover just a bit too close to one of the valve springs and it's hitting the center cover. Take a screwdriver and use it like a stethoscope and see if you can locate the noise. Feel the "alignment" of the lower, center, and upper rocker box covers. If the center and top cover are not in their proper position, this could be the problem.

42 inch LG Plasma TV - Lost picture

Most likely what happened is one of the capacitors went bad. When a capacitors goes bad it produces a popping sound. This could be an easy and cheap fix if you find the bad capacitor or capacitors. The bad capacitor will have a bulging top most likely on the power board but could be anywhere.

42 inch LG Plasma TV - Lost picture

Hi , I recently had the same problem which I was determined to fix . So I did a few weeks of research to find that it was the Y SUS board which burns out. I'm sure you realized that the TV gets hot. Personally I think this is why. circuit boards don't like heat and I've learned that the cooling fans are a joke. I replaced the board and got my picture back. I proved the fan theory because after the screen started to act up. I placed a cooling fan near the vent holes on top and the problem cleared right up,It also helps if you lower the brightness which helps out on the heat situation.I will soon be adding a fan with a temp. sensor. This shoud help if your screen has lines when you initially turn the cool TV on.then I have Some other costless solutions. Hope this helped these are great TV's and like our cars we maintain them not throw them away..................................Mr Wiseman

I do not hear any music through my 10" M Audio Subs (M Audio Sound System)

If you know how to use a multimeter, you can test the amp this way:

-unhook the subs
-hook up a cheapie speaker you know for sure works to one of the channels
-unhook the audio inputs
-turn the amp on
-set your meter to VDC
-put the positive probe on the inside of the input connector, being sure you make contact with th inner contact
-take the negative probe and tap it on the outside of the connector

What you are doing is sending a low voltage (replicating an audio signal) into the amp audio circuit and allowing the amp to amplify it. If the amp makes the speaker pop each time you strike the probe, the amp is working.

You mentioned you need a 4 channel amplifier make the two, dual voice coil subs operate. The is not true and by hooking them up like that, there's a chance of damaging the subs. The reason is that the dual voice coils are interwoven and they have to get electrically identical signals or they fight against each other. The can mechanically fail, then, electrically fail, then even damage the amp too.
