I just purchased a GFA 5400 Amp and only 1 channel is working - Seller claims it worked when he Shipped. Is there a way to test the channel that doesn't work? Right Channel works Great!

Can I assume that you have input signals going to both channels and that you have SWITCHED the cables to make sure that both cables going to the power amp are actually sending signals to it?
That will rule out any cable / pre-amp problems.
After you have done that test, let me know.

My adcom 5400 amp is causing distortion in the left and right ouputs. it started doing this the other day after a lot of music playing. i wanna know whats wrong with it

THE AMP HAS 4 FUSES INSIDE, 2 PER CHANNEL. YOU NEED TO CHECK THESE FUSES. BE CAREFULL, HIGH VOLTAGE- UNPLUG POWER CORD AND LET THE AMP STAY FOR COUPLE HOURS. REPLACE ONLY WITH PROPER VALUE FUSES 5AMP. IF BLOWN AGAIN, NO MORE ATTEMPT TO REPLACE - YOU NEED TO SEND IT TO REPAIR FACILITY LIKE THIS

Convert a 4 om amp to play w/8 om speaker

Connect the two speakers in parallel. That will present a 4 Ohm load to the amp.

How do i bridge an adcom gfa 5400

This amp is not designed to be bridged and can not be used in the mode you wish. Sorry, but internal circuit changes would be necesary for the amp to work as a single channel.

Adcom 7500, Adcom 5400(bi-amp), Marantz AV-9000, Dakiom HA103

Try just the power amp on ..nothing connected
no Dakiom thingy either. It's a matter of elimination. Start at the output device and work back. Keep the Dakiom out of the loop.
If there's hum with just the Adcom..then it's the ADCOM

How to bridge GPA 555 adcom amp from 8 om to 4 om

First of all, when bridging an anp, the impenence that it can handle usually goes UP not down. I don't believe that the GPA555 can be bridged without circuit modification.

Adcom GFA-5400 installation

Use the niles for more than one speaker hookup. As far as the sub hookup, use a powered sub with speaker inputs
then use the right or left speaker and tag a couple wires to the sub. Good Luck
