Hi:
This problem is usually caused by one of the colors in the installed cartrige not printing out on the alignment page. You need to have red, blue and yellow working to get a good alignment. Try removing the cartridge, and wiping the print head with a wet paper towel to try to start the ink flowing. You should see three bands of color ink oozing out the bottom. If not, the cartridge is bad and needs replaced again!
generally this is due to your ink cartrige not having enough of the cyan or yellow to produce accurate colors. that or the print heads need to be cleaned on the cartrige. you can clean them with a cotton swab and some rubbing alcohol.
if all else fails replace yoru color cartrige with a new one.
If the printer gives magenta instead of red you have a problem with one of the other colors. Magenta needs other colors to print red. Print a cofiguration print and check witch color is bad or missing. Replace the cartrridge of the missing/bad color
Hi,
In this case, i would request you to follow the bellow steps:
1)click on File Menu ->select Print->Select Preference->color tab->Select "print in graey color->now select only Balck ink....
I Hope by following above steps, your issue will resolved.
if the printer queue is empty and you have turned both comp and printer to off it should reset. Frpm your explanation it sounds like your color cartridge has a problem Tricolor red, blue, yellow maybe one is empty the black is a separate cartridge
ok, if you are using old cartriges, might want to try some rubbing alcohol on a tissue. This has worked on a number of cartriges in the past when i start getting missing pins. it lubricates the holes so in can flow again.
Take a q-tip and do the same if there's any kind of print head, but most print heads these days are built into the cartrige.
I had the same problem with mine when I bought it. The print head is in the ink cartrige not the printer. If it prints all red, blue or yello one of them is stuck, this happened on the trial cartrige that came with it. I put a fresh 110 in it and it aligned and I have printed a TON of pix with no problems.
its best to leave all the cartridges in the printer even if they are empty. the printer will continue to print but with the absence of yellow any color printing might be off color. black and white printing should be unaffected.
The Print head is on the cartridge. The question is, if i will replace the cartridge, will it work?
