Have you tried replacing the battery? It sounds like the charger circuit is attempting to charge the battery and the battery is not accepting the charge.
If YES, and it doesn't charge the battery, but it turns ON the laptop it means that the battery is the one not holding a charge.
If
NO. Try to change the power cord that goes to the wall (that part is
detachable) with good known power cord. If it does the same then
definitely there's a problem with the ac adapter.
If the computer powers ON, both ac adapter and battery are detected but no display, then the problem is the system board.
Replace the battery, but I am assuming you mean 10% per hour with normal use. If you are on the 3G, playing music, making calls, thats all you're probably going to get. Thats 10 hours, if you use it often I wouldn't expect any more. I charge my new Blackberry every night, and I have to.
If not, then definitely a new battery, because 10% per hour without data or music and usage, it must be the battery, probably replace the charger too if you want to be really really certain.
the battery pack needs to be fully charged, it may take charging it 5 to 10 times in order to achieve this.keep an eye on it while charging and when warm to touch it should be charged.
it might be the battery. cause batteries on cell phones only last for so long [depending on how long you've had it] or you might just have a bad phone. go to the phone company where your phone is from, and tell them about it, and they'll probably give you a new phone.
