LG lotus shutting down

I have an LG Lotus cell phone, which I have had for about 5 months. It was working fine today, then I went ot plug it in to charge and it said " A Battery is required to charge", even when the battery was in. Now whenever I use the phone, and close the flip, it shuts itself down. Frustrating! I have tried taking out the battery, plugging it in without the battery in, etc.. Any suggestions are welcomed!

It sounds like its a software problem and if you have only had it for about 5 months it should still be under warinty. Try calling your provider and tell them whats going on and see if they can send you a new phone.

Im trying to update my lg lotus but i keep getting the error code 1050 how can i fix it?

This is actually an error in the Lotus' operating system. I remember when I had my Lotus that it would not update at all with that error code. I took it into Sprint and they replaced it with one that worked well for a few months more.I would suggest doing just that.

Help - My LG Lotus (LX600) Sprint has frozen. I've removed the battery and it just re-boots to the Lotus screen but will not allow me to access anything past the welcome screen.

this device should be able to be reflashed if you have insurence they will do at no charge

My LG Lotus when i turn it on stays on the original LG LOTUS screen and freezes, any ideas on how to fix it? i was text messaging and my phone froze and shut off. when i turned it back on it stayed...

Ugh. The same exact thing happened to mine. I am so incredibly angry and frustrated! I heard that trying a new battery might work... I tried my sister's battery, since she has the same phone, and it was no go for me, but you ought to give it a try if you can... I did everything I could to try and fix it, but it won't do anything else!

LG LOTUS Starts Up freezes and Reboots after it gets to Sprintspeed Screen

hard rest - you will lose the data - if things does not return to normal after hard reset - an image refalsh should fix the problem - if under warranty - authorized service center should do that for you if out of warranty, there are 3rd party flashers out there who could reflash your phone for a very reasonable price

Wont stay on

Simple, all you need to do is find the nearest cell phone tech. and have the battery replaced with a new one, this is sure to work

How do you put music on the lg lotus from your pc???

Plug your Lotus into your computer, then in "My Computer" double click on your Lotus' icon, then there should be a folder that says "Music," just drag and drop music files into this folder, then you should be able to listen to them on your phone.

My LG Lotus main display just stopped working in the middle of a text I have tried turning it off and taking out the battery if I filp the phone open the screen lightens but doesn't display anything

Take it to a sprint store that has a repair center (check Sprint.com and click "Find a store on the top right corner for which store in your area has the repair centers). They will fix it for free or for $35. Sprint is the only national carrier to support instore repairs, and I praise them for this.

Unlock my Sprint LG Lotus Phone if i forgot my lock password

As long as you know your security code you can retreive your lock code. On the Lotus dial ##3282# scroll down to Advanced, choose View, then scroll down to option 5 which should be the Lock Code and select it. You will need to enter your security code here which typically is 6 zeros.

I just purchased an LG Lotus and the phone continues to reboot itself. It will turn on for about 1 min and then reboot while it is plugged in.

We just bought this phone today and after a few hours, it just started rebooting randomly. We were getting ready to return the phone, and then updated the firmware and now have no more reboots. Here are the steps for a firmware update:

From the Home icon select, the OK/Menu button
Go to Tools
Scroll down to Update Phone (or press #) and press OK
Select Updated Firmware (or press 1)
Follow onscreen instructions

After the download completes, the firmware package is installed. For the last several hours, we've had no more reboots or power downs.
