Try partstore.com, they have an "A" board (p/n A-1299-243-A) for this model for about $170.
Other than that it is pretty strait forward to jumper across the crack with a little wire on every broken trace. Look close, don't let all the white lettering on the PCB fool you.
Done this many times, rarely any component failures.

Sony FD Trinitron WEGA started changing channels on its own for 2 days, then the remote stopped working. When the volume button on the tv is used, the first time pressed it will bring up the favorite...

it is a rare problem ..... only after opening & observing all circuit boards one can tell whether it can be repaired or not .... if on any circuit board at any IC or transistor if board has become brownish or blackish colour then either that component is gone or there connection is loose ........ on observing carefully if we find cracks at soldering joints of that particular component then your tv problem can be solved by just resoldering those joints carefully ...... if no such cracks are found means then those particular components where board has become brown or black has to be checked ...... so in your case only after opening backside cover & observing circuit board one can say problem is minor or major - can be repaired or not .............since sony is very good brand before going for new tv just ask some technical person ( may be any of your friend or a local tv service engineer ) to observe all circuit boards of your tv & give his opinion .........

Top left hand corner has a crooked picture on my sony wega 32". It just kinda dips down and is distorted.

THERE ARE MANY WAVEFORM CORRECTION CIRCUITS IN THIS SET. COMPONENT FAILURE IS UNCOMMON HOWEVER. CRACKED CIRCUIT BOARDS AND BAD CONNECTIONS ARE COMMON

Dropped sony tv trinitron face down, ti goes to standby

You have a cracked board inside the TV. The biggest weight creating the crack would probably be the Flyback transformer. And you may have done damage to the tube internally..the shadow mask perhaps? The yoke or the neck of the tube is broken.....Could be a lot of things or minor...just have to check with a tech!

I just bought a sony triniton 40in trusurround

7 Blinks is the code for high voltage shut down and can be due to a failure in the horizontal deflection circuit.
Since it worked before it was moved, i would guess that you may have disturbed a bad solder connection or possibly cracked a PC board.
IF you feel comfortable doing so you can give a visual inspection of the board
With the power off and TV unplugged remove the back cabinet. Slide out the board and flip it over to check for poor solder connections/cracks in the traces.

Sony Triniton xbr

The continuous blink code indicates some failure in communication between the computer in the set and the big signal-processing chip that controls most of the TV's video functions. Since the set fell, it's probably due to a either cracked circuit board or a broken picture tube.

If the board is cracked, it might repairable if the broken circuit traces can be found and patched. If the tube is broken (because the shock of the fall cracks the glass neck of the tube and allows air to leak in), it's time to replace the TV.

There's really nothing you can do on your own to fix this. Your best bet is to see if a professional can come out and give you an estimate. (Or use this as an excuse to get new flat-screen which would take up a lot less room!)

you may have cracked the circuit board when moving , sounds like a bad vertical circuit. look for bad connections around vertical ic or flyback transformer

Sony trinitron 32 in. pip no video, (raster, with audio)

What you have described there is a classic example of the jungle IC failure. Ic301 Sony p/n 8-752-101-04. A pic with no color, and lines or grainy texture in the picture. Not a project you want to tackle if you don't have the proper soldering equipment or skills. And not a costly one at a good repair shop.. Only real hurdle is getting that heavy monster into the shop. To answer your question, yes what you described there is raster. Even the salt & pepper looking screen with no real decernable image is described as raster. In fact any image generated on the CRT is raster. And yes, these sets are prone to solder joint problems, usually ring cracking in circuits that generate the most heat.

I think you may have a cold solder joint or burned loose connection somewhere in your power supply. Also maybe a crack in the circuit board. apparently when you moved the tv you "fixed" the problem temporarily. Stargazer
