don't push any buttons at all untill the clock has at least 15 minutes to communicate with the transmitter.

I guess the battery has run out on you. change the battery and you are good to go. I got to warn you though, if you are skittish on taking a good risk, do not try to change the battery yourself. It is a little piece of complex machinery. I have the same problem a while ago. I decided to change the battery myself after the watch repairman tried to sell me a new watch. And you know what, I'm glad I did. My atomic watch is working fine again.
SOURCE: Resetting to daylight savings time.
The clock is searching for a strong enough radio signal from NIST station WWVB. When it can't lock on it, it gives up, moves the dial four hours, and goes to sleep to wait for better reception. Put the clock in a window facing towards Boulder, CO, overnight. (Radio propagation is better after dark.)

SOURCE: my clock is nort showing up the outside tempertute
Seems to be a consistent problem with Skyscan. I have the 88800 model and my outdoor transmitter isn't transmitting the temperature either. We've replaced the batteries in both the transmitter and clock and nothing for outdoor temp. It's only been used for 9 months.
