Hi!
I just got my self a TP-Link TL-WR541G wireless router. I have setup everything. I am connecting a Lap top to the router wirelessly and trying to do a VPN connection using Cisco VPN client Software. It will not connect at all. Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks
Shan
You'll want to enable the VPN transparency. In the router's administrative web interface, click the Security Tab, then the VPN Passthrough sub-tab. Cisco VPN's usually use IPSEC, so enable the IPSEC Pass-through and click "Save Settings". If this doesn't work enable the PPTP Pass-through as well and give that a shot.

Same Computer can browse the internet wirelessly, no problem there at all. My setup is Cable modem connected to cable out and connected to the wireless router. I also connected Link Sys router (DHCP disabled) to that router since I have VOIP service coming thru that router. I hope this extra information will help.
Hi,
I have a Dlink DI-624s and have done what was suggested, but my Cisco VPN still does not connect.
Do I need to set up the Virtual Server for the DI-624s?
I tried to enable IPSEC but it'd wanted a Private IP. What is this Private IP - is it the IP of the network I want to connect to? Or is this the IP of my laptop with the Cisco VPN client?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Kind regards,
Nzmiche
What method is the VPN client using to connect? PPTP or L2TP/ipsec? What is the other end of the VPN set to use?
This is a new router and need to get it connected to other devices
