RedOctane Guitar Hero Wireless Controller for PlayStation 2 Logo

I have a red octane wireless guitar (white) that I bought with guitar hero I & II. It's always worked fine. With guitar hero 5, partway through a song it'll stop and say that the controller is not connected. The only thing that fixes this is to remove the piece that plugs into the ps2, and then plug it back in and then the guitar will work again. But the problem keeps happening on every song. The weird thing is, instead of "continuing" you can choose to "exit" and then go back to the main menu, and the guitar works fine to scroll through options.. It has new batteries.. what's wrong with it?

I have bought a wireless ps3 guitar ( KRAMMER) which is a red octane and i cannot find a usb port on it ??? please help

It's actually hidden inside the guitar neck....well it is for the warriors of Rock guitar for PS3. I have one of these but no dongle so if anyone has one please let me know.ee96b211-8ef1-4fdd-9c2a-202ece6747f3.jpg16319844579014752486403742228714-zkt5tkphum4ofoiikpxk5o2c-6-2.jpg

And this is an adapter for PS3 which allows the console to receive wireless signal from wireless guitar. I have 5 guitar hero guitars so before anyone nitpicks I am aware that this wireless dongle is for my Kramer Striker guitars. I have 2 working wireless receivers and am willing to swap if someone has a wireless USB dongle for a PS3 warriors of Rock guitar. Not the triangular shaped one but the little one which is identical to Skylanders Portal USB. The one which is hidden inside the neck which I included photo of above. Thanks

The red drum in Guitar hero xbox 360 dosnt always register..

Hi Marbleface -

You can repair your drums actually for pretty reasonable!
Here is a link to a video on how to repair the drums yourself, you'll have to purchase the cable yourself, but you can find one if you search eBay for "guitar hero drum cable"

I hope this helps!

Guitar Hero - the guitar plays on its own

Yes.

Radio frequency interference may cause the Wii Remote to work erratically. Check for wireless devices like cell phones, wireless computer keyboards or mice, or other similar devices, and move or turn them off.

Recalibrate the sensor after, make sure the connections are tight.

Now go get that 5 star on "Through the Fire and Flames"!

Receiver will not turn on for wireless guitar

I have torn 2 of these receivers apart and have ohm'd them out and found that the manufacturing process to put them together is very sub par.

On the two I had Capacitor c3 was off the board (smd). This is NOT a repairable problem if you don't have the low heat soldering equipment. Besides, you might correct one problem and find you have others because of the forceful procedures you have to do to get it apart.

Unfortunately the only thing you can do is buy a replacement (available at Red Octane's site[19.99]) or take a chance on EBAY sellers that claim to have the item [9.99].

Also, if you have a lot of time on your hands it is possible to hard wire the device (I do not have the pinouts). Pinouts should be online as I have seen several articles on it.

Hopefully I have given you some insight.
