New gateway with Webroot installed. Windows 7 says webroot is not compatible and I need to download a driver. Where do I find the driver?

OR

Go to link below to download the latest version and more. You may also need to download the WinRAR program which you can also get at this site. This program puts the files back together. Make sure you make a directory just for these files and when you save place them into this
directory.

You will also need this free download at BitTorrent at below link.

After you download the program use bittorrent to completely download the full program from the file you saved. Once this is done it might not need to be pieced together but if it does use WinRAR for that.

Spy Sweeper purchased in July, 2009 will not work with Windows 7.

With Windows 7 there comes an improved Compatibility feature which allows you to run programs apparently not functional in Windows 7. In order to do this, please install the program as usual, making sure to tell the installation program to install a desktop icon. When it is finished, right click on the icon and select properties. The next window has a tab called compatibility. Click this tab and select Run program in... and select Windows Vista or Windows XP SP3 (either should work). I would also set it to run as administrator. See graphic below.

If the program wont install at all, than explore the CD and do the same process with the "setup.exe" program on the CD.

Webroot 6.1 Antivirus/SpySweeper won't open after install
Dear User,

Though Webroot 6.1 Antivirus works fine on Windows 7, but its Spyweeper (anti spywear), is not seems to be compatible with Windows 7.

You can look for the version of webrrot that is fully compatible with windows 7.
OR
You can go to the free versions of Antivirus availables for Windows 7 (as AVG Free).

Installed webroot not compatiblewith windows 7
the antivirus that u installed is stoping some critical windows files getting loaded...as it sees these DLL files/exe files as potential trojens/virus....the same issue is with Avira Antivirus....try useing Mcafee or AVG AV...they r good free AVs....
to get ur desktop....when u boot press F8 and if get to the option screen...chose Safe mode to load windows...if u get to work in Safe mode.....uninstall the Webroot AV...and run a chkdsk in DOS prompt...
to go to dos prompt...do this
Start / Run / type cmd there in the box...in the balck screen....go to c:\
type cd windows
type chkdsk
after chkdsk is complete shut down and restart...
this should fix...
then install AVG or Mcafee

I need driver update for my Webroot Spy Sweeper with Antivirus to make it work with Windows 7. I can't find where to get them on your site?
The driver isn't the problem, your version of the Webroot is - it's incompatible to Win 7.

You need to contact webroot to get this kind of stuff. It's their program and it might not be compatible with Win 7 64-bit.

Driver blockt work due to compatibility issues.
A user can uninstall the Windows Vista update that is causing this issue. Once the update is uninstalled you will need to wait until Microsoft has released a fix for this issue. Otherwise, a Windows Vista update may cause this problem to occur again if Microsoft has not pushed a fix yet.
To uninstall the conflicting update, do the following:
1. Click Start
2. Click Control Panel
3. Click Programs and Features
4. Choose View installed updates
5. Select "Update for Microsoft Windows (KB943302)
6. Click Uninstall
7. Restart your computer and the update should be uninstalled
