Hi Steve-If the faucet is definitely getting water (making sure all the cut-off valves are open along the way), the Moen single handle faucets all use a replaceable cartridge that is available at home supply stores. This cartridge is what regulates the pressure and the temperature of the water coming out of your faucet. This is likely faulty. You'll need to close the supply valves (hot and cold) underneath your sink prior to replacing.
There's a little filter in faucet head and it may have got backed up with calcium from old water heater when changed.. U can just pop it out with lil knife and then run faucet with hot water to get any build up.. U can pick up more screen filters at local hardware store for cheap..
First check aerator at end of spout unscrew and clean or replace,if that dosen't work turn off water and take cartridge out of handle assembly and check for any foreign matter, clean out reinstall, take care to remember position cartridge came out.
Yes, debris from water heater replacements often breaks lose and gets stuck. The problem could potentially be anywhere between water heater and the faucet. The faucets shut off valves or the Delta faucet cartridge itself. Turn the hot and cold water valves off under the sink and disconnect the water supply lines from the faucet. aim the water supply lines into a bucket and turn the valves on one at a time. If there is a significant reduction in the water pressure and volume on the hot water side, you need to replace the shut off valve. If there is no reduction in water pressure, you need to clean and/or replace the Delta faucet cartridge. Contact Delta to receive free replacement parts.
Remove the spray head and point the hose into the sink drain. Turn the faucet on. If you have good pressure, cal American Standard for a free replacement spray head.
If you still have low water pressure without the spray head, ask them for a new faucet cartridge.
After replacing the faucet cartridge, if you still have low water pressure you will need to ask for a new faucet, possibly free if yours is still under warranty.
I have had the cartridge replaced in my moen single handle faucet with sprayer in the end and now it turns off by itself. Any suggestions on the problem
Verify the cold water outlet has equal pressure as the hot side outlet at the wall. Check the inlet screen on the cold side water line where it attatches to cold water pipe. The screen could be plugged. Then check the cold side hose for any restrictions. Also check if there is a screen on the outlet side of the cold water hose and see if it is plugged. Otherwise the faucet valve is mis-aligned and will need to be rotated and re-tightened to align the valve to the center so both sides have equal water flow.
I have moen kitchen faucet # 7560 and water pressure very low. What should I do? We check water flow in pipe it is ok. I changed cartridge as well as pipe nothing help. Please let me know. thanks
