No blown fuse. Try powering up without speaker wires hooked up to amp. If u still have a red light, then output of amp is bad.

If you have a red protection light, you probably don't have a blown fuse. If you had a blown fuse you wouldn't have any light. However, you probably have a bad output section. If you have a multimeter check to see if you have a dc voltage on the speaker terminals when you first turn on the amp. You can check by placing black lead on neg speaker terminal and red on positive speaker terminal. It will be quick will probably need 2 people to test this. More than likely you have a blown transistor/fet in output section.

This more than likely means that you have a blown fuse. Go to an electronic store and replace the fuses. Make sure you get the exact same sizes and types that you had before.

Help!!!!

It's likely that the amplifier has shorted output transistors. To eliminate other possible problems that can cause an amp to go into protect, read through the following page.

My amp is on but no sound

Did you disconnect the battery? You may have bowwn a fuse, but that prolly wouldnt give you a protect light. Protect light usually means a short circuit, probably on the speaker end, sure there couldnt be maybe a single strand of wire crossing over the positive and negative speaker or amp terminals.

My amp is on but the protection light stay's on!!

Disconnect all speaker wires from the speaker terminals of the amp and disconnect signal cables from the amp. If it powers up, the wiring needs to be checked. If the protect light remains on, the amp likely has blown output transistors.

Red LED "Protection Light is on" What is the problem

The red light means the amp is in protection mode. A few things can cause protection mode..... First disconnect the subs completely from the amp, and turn it on, if it powers up you have blown subs. Also try checking the main power wire at the battery...sometimes the current your meter is seeing is backfeeding from the remote wire, so your main power line could be blown at the fuse under the hood. hope this helps
