Get a magnifying glass, and a good, small light. Open th memory bay door. Look for the pin that's bent, or shoved back a lot furthe than the others(with CF, "a lot" is only a few millimeters). It is entirely possible that you attempted to insert the card in upsidedown? If you FORCE it when upsidedown, there are two pins that will bend(on opposite corners of the connector). There are polarized slots that are SUPPOSED to prevent this, but if the card or socket is worn, orif it's a split design, then sometimes the cards ca "seem" to go in, while actually bending pins, or shoving the indexing pins(1 and 50 I believe) back through the connector body, as thy are a bit longer that the other pins. If you can get the shell of the camera apart, those pis CAN be straightened... They'll never be 100% again, as the bend weakens them, and next time they'll bend easier. This usually happens with poorly designed, or worn card socket. If you can straighten it without breaking the pin(SLOWLY and only once is the key. no back and forth) then, I'd suggest backing the entire pin area with a few drops of hot glue. this will minimize the chance of the pin being pushed back in the socket. If it bend to the side, and got flattened to the back of the socket, you can TRY to straighten... I've had 3-4 successes. If it breaks, you're n wrseoff than you are now. And, if you know a talented solder iron expert, a snapped pin CAN be fixed. It's not easy, and I advise tipping well... but it can be done.

I having canon eos after i remove the memory card it says error cf or it says busy please help me

Hello

The issues you are running into are indicative of two possible issues.

First, the memory card may simply be bad. But before you purchase or try another memory card, you need to look for the second possible issue. The second issue, which is typcially more common, is that inside the card slot on the camera, there are pins, it is possible that one or more of these pins has become bent or damaged. If you look inside you can usually see a pin or pins out of alignment or bent over. If that is the case, the camera will need to go in for service.

I have a CF err on my Canon Rebel XTI EOS

If your camera uses a compact flash card, then something is wrong with it. Possible causes: card needs formatting in camera (this will erase it) one or more pins inside camera are bent. Card was erased or formatted on computer instead of camera.

My Canon EOS Rebel XT doesn't recognize the CF card. It recognized it earlier, but I removed it and now it won't see it. I also tried a different CF card and it didn't work.

LOOK INSIDE THE CAMERA Card SLOT AND SEE IF ALL THE PINS ARE STRAIGHT You may have bent the pins which is easy to do. If they are bent it will be a serviceman job to replace the module

Canan 350D with CF error, says no image on screen. How do I fix this?

The memory card could be bad, try formatting the memory card, or the camera could be damaged. Look inside the memory card door, take out the memory card and look at the little pins in the camera that the memory card connects to. If any are bent or missing then the camera will need a major repair to be fixed. This is something for Canon or qualified technician to fix.

When i start camera power on it flashes Err CF will not allow me to take pictures

Assuming you have inserted a CF memory card; try a different one. This is typical of a defective memory card. Also, look into the slot to verify no bent pins(they are tiny!)

I do not know if this is applicable on the XT, but some Canon's have a setting to block/allow taking pictures without a memory card inserted. If it does, set it to allow to verify the camera is operable otherwise.

Canon EOS 350D CF memory card won't go into slot

It sounds like you have some bent pins in the card slot. Take it to a reputable camera repair and they can look and tell you for sure.

I have images on my card, but my Canon EOS Rebel 300D says "no images in the camera or card folder" how can I get them to download. Will they download at a Wal-Mart card reader?

look very carefully at the pins inside the socket.. you might have a bent or broken pin making the camera unable to read the card. Also, if the images on your card are not Jpg or CanonRAW, the camera won't recognize them.

CF Card is not being read, Canon Digital 350D EOS Problem

It does not sound good. You might want to get a flashlight or similar and look into the memory card slot to check the connector pins in the camera. They may be bent or damaged.
