My frigidaire gallery front loader washing machine doesnt work.

My frigidaire front loader washing machine does not pump water out of the tub, everything else seems to work just fine . The door locks (and hums loudly) and lock light works, turning the cycle knob has no effect except lock the door when turned on. Motor does not run but I can turn the tub freely. The belt is in fine shape.

Sounds like you have something in the pump and if there is a filter it might be dirty.
You will want to unplug the machine and take the back panel off and pull the pump out of the machine. You might want to take it outside an do this since there will be water in the machine and will make a mess.
If there is a filter it will be located behind the front panel below the door. There should be two or three screws that hold this panel on.They will be easy to access from the front with a screwdriver or a cordless drill and should be a #2 philips.

The machine is not draining and it is not spinning

Your machine will never spin if there is water in the tub. Remove the pump and clear the obstruction.

Do Frigidaire Front Load Washers require H&E detergents?

The answer is YES. Nearly all front loader washers built for consumers are rated as high efficiency because of the small amount of water and electricity they use. This small amount of water, coupled with a wash tub that does not agitate continously, followed by a high speed final spin of 1200 rpms or higher, all equate to an overall energy savings as compared to a conventional top loader. Regular detergent is formulated to be used in a wash tub with a 35 gallon capacity. So, if you use that same detergent in a wash tub that uses 5 to 7 gallons of water (such as yours), you are in effect putting about 5 times the concentration in the washer. This can lead to soap scum build up which causes odors, soap deposits that remain in your clothing and can cause skin irritation, "SUDS" errors that stop the wash program due to too much suds in the wash tub, and premature wear on the drain pump motor and seals. In fact, most front loaders will have a disclaimer added in the owner';s manual that explains this. Most manufacturers will also void the warranty if it is discovered you are using improper detergent. Use HE detergent and pay attention to the label. Some of them are double (2X) and triple (3X) concentrated. I hope this helps you.

Frigidaire gallery front loader that is giving me an error code 20 what do i do

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} Plug off the mains. You have to look for screws below the front kick-panel, you can raise the machine a bit to gain access to the screws, the panel comes down & out. You may find a drain hose here, on left, drain off the excess water. The pump is on the right side. Be prepared for dirty water. Inside the big flexible tube (coming from the tub bottom) is the filter, be prepared to find all sorts of junk here, clean out. You can pass it into a large plastic bag. Examine your pump also, clean out the impeller. Carefully refit all. Your machine would be fine. Don’t wait for the machine to jam to look into your filter.

Water filling tub on washer

First thing is to run the machine as normal. After the cycle is complete and the clothes are removed, turn the water off, hot and cold, to the machine. If on the next usage there is no water in the tub then the fault has been found. And, no, the water valves are fairly easy to access and replace if needed.
