If your Mac has Bluetooth, you can connect to the phone via a bluetooth connection and use it as a modem. You first need a connection profile on the phone that will allow an IP connection (data) to your phone network, either via 3G or GPRS, though the former is potentially faster.
Then you need to Go into system preferences->Network on your Mac and create a Bluetooth connection profile that may need a user name and password to connect to your phone networks data access point.
Then select the IP profile on the phone, turn Bluetooth on. Turn on Bluetooth on the Mac and select the Bluetooth connection profile in Network on the Mac and click on the connect button, it should then connect and away you go
