How do I connect my Samsung Jet to my Apple Mac running Osx 10.5.8 for using it as a modem for internet connection.

  Apple don't put their OS on DVD any more. It's usually downloaded directly from the internet. But, if you live near an Apple Store you could take a USB Memory Stick in the shop and one of the guys could download the installer to the stick.

  If your machine can handle it (CPU 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
  or better), get the latest OSX 10.9 Maverics.
  It's now available for free.
  But you may need to use a friends Mac to download off the internet!

  These days you really must have an external hard drive of at least 1TB or so to keep copies of your files on. Partition the drive into 2or3 parts and keep one (60GB) as a clean OSX emergency boot.
  I always use Carbon Copy Cloner to make a bootable "CLONE" of my PowerBook on my external drive.. That way if you ever get into boot problems you just connect the external boot disk, Restart the Mac, then hold the option key down and choose the external OSX Boot drive that you want to restart from. Then you use the Disk Utility program to fix Permissions & Test your internal Hard Drive.
  I make a "CLONE" at least once a year then test that it boots then I wipe (Format) my internal HD and install clean updated OSX. Reboot and choose the Migration Assistant to put all my data back from the Clone I made.
  Have been doing this for years now. Keeps the Mac software in prime condition.

Is you computer connected to your route via an ethernet cable? If it is, check the port on the router to see if the connection light is glowing. Next, check you network settings and set the "Configure IP Address" to be "Using DHCP". This will also the router to allocate an IP address and settings to computer. Now see if you can access the internet.

Im using my S8003 as modem, here's how im doing it.

1. need to install ur samsung pc studio
2. connect ur Samsung Jet via Bluetooth or USB
3. click the toolbox and choose internet connector
4. then just select which country and provider

Note: just make sure that ur internet settings in ur Samsung jet is configured with ur provider.

You can use your Samsung Jet as a wireless modem. So its possible.
All you need is your phone cable and NPS. (and internet on phone ofc) Easy!

So you dont need any apps or whatever on your phone.
I always use this method when im in train with laptop.

Yes, you just need to connect the Airport to the modem. That way, the Airport will fetch the internet connection and distribute it to all your WiFi enabled device. You don't need any other hardware. You just need to configure the airport using your Mac computer.

Using a good computer connected to the internet, logon to netcomm using this number NB7PLUS4W and download the drivers for your operating system OSX 10.4.11 and that should fix your problem.

Depending on what model clamshell you have will determine a few things. One thing to take into considertion is does it have an airport card in it already? I know it does not have USB 2.0 so a dingle is going to be super slow. 
The original apple airport cards that went into most of the computers before like 94 or so are the same and will work in your machine too.
Getting to it is a little more of a chore. go to iFixit.com for a detailed directions to install it and they also have items like this for sale. Check on eBay for a known good working pull apple airport card delivered for not more than $75.
