The fact that you know where the reset is means you have visited that place before ..(not judging you) the reset on those fractional horsepower motors are typicaly not very robust if it has tripped more than 15 times chances are it's done time for a new one (just the reset) it only has two wires on it, to trouble shoot it open the case hook the two wires together (with a marconnector) fire it up if it spins replace the overload if it doesn't .... hmmm.... maybe motor but if you decide it is the overload take the time to get the right one otherwise next time it will be the motor for sure .Good Luck you are using a tile saw if you have both eyes and all your fingers then you already know how to be carefull ... if not please be carefull :-)

Makita table saw wont turn on

A failed power supply, broken on/off switch, bad motor overload, broken power cord or failed drive motor can prevent the table saw motor from starting. First, try resetting the overload. If the table saw motor won't start after resetting the overload, then the saw may not be getting power from the electrical outlet.

Overload reset button on porter cable 10 in table saw

Why this is in sewing machines I will never know.

But this is an example of pushing a saw beyond it's limits. At best you should have cut one post, shut the machine off and let it cool... then go for the next. (Better yet get a friend with a saw mill saw the thing down for you)

I believe you have burned out your motor. Off the store you go....for a new one.

Tile saw wont start. It's brand new. Is there some sort of safety device.

The first thing you should check is the GFCI switch on the power cord. All tile saws have one because of the water involved with cutting tile. It should have a test and reset button on it, press the reset button to get power to the saw motor. Some bigger saws also have a reset button on the motor itself for overload issues. Check for that if the GFCI reset doesn't work.

Dewalt ds2400 wet saw will through in line breaker not start

sounds like the breakers working to good,i would by pass the reset switch, most likely that switch is bad anyways,we always plug our saws into a outlet box that has a breaker in it ,you know those reset switches are stupid, by pass the reset switch like it wasnt even there, and if that works i would replace the whole cord with a new 1,and buy a 5 dollar junction box that has a breaker in it,i dont know if there is a seperate plug on that saw where u plug the water pump into, if there is i would check that plug first before you bypass the switch.good luck chad

Fox Shop Table Saw won't start

Your saw has a reset button inside the magnetic switch assembly. You may need to pull the cover off to reset it. Unplug the saw first.
Consult the user manual p47 at this link, if you don't have yours handy. http://edge.woodstockint.com/manuals/w1711ext_m.pdf
If that doesn't do it, look to a breaker in your fuse box.
i hope this does the trick. If so, please take a sec to rate this post. Otherwise, let me know what you discover and we'll try to sort it out!
