The machine washes as normal until the fast spin part of the cycle starts the there is a really loud grating noise like a hard object banging about in a small space against the drum.
No objects are in the drum. I can rotate drum as usual with no noise, is just on fast spin.
Machine has 1100 spin and is near 4 years old.
Any ideas??

Appliance sounds like it has bearing failure.common on this machine.advise looking for a new machine.sorry

When my washer did that, I found that the shocks that hold the tub were bad...
