How open wahser in OLD thin twin stacked dryer/washer

We had a HUGE water problem with the stacked dryer/washer in our rental.....even when we turned off the faucet--water leaked out the bottom---at least ALL of the water in the washer, if not more.....

We can't figure out how to open the darn thing to check out for any obvious problems....... can you offer any suggestions?

Whirlpool ite6234d thin twin could someone tell me in detail where the belt is located in the washer?

I can not find your model number that you posted.
I can tell you that all whirpool thin twins up to last year were direct drive with no belt except for the dryer section. Whirlpool stackers from the early eighties did have a washer belt if yours is this old replace the entire machine.

LTE6234 Whirlpool Twin Thin Timer Broken?

Check for voltage at the water inlet valve with the timer dial pushed in or in an off position. If no voltage replace the water valve. If you do have voltage you'll have to trace the circuits back from the water valve to the line. One point of demarcation is the water level switch. Pull the violet colored wire and see if it still fills while off. If it does it's likely the timer's bad.
