It is now sold for just under $300. It uses a toggle draw hook latch. I contacted Rubbermaid customer service <[email protected]> with exactly this question a few days ago; no spare parts available in any channel, as box was discontinued in 2001... has been a GREAT box, though:-) too bad they don't want to sell spare parts down the road:-(

I have the same problem.I have 4 of these boxes in several sizes.Great toolboxes except for the latches.I rigged the ones with broken latches by getting the smallest aluminum clip (the fake climbing type) that would fit in the lock hole.I drilled small hole in the fin right over the hole and tied the clip to the box with a small piece of string.Works great and better than buying a new box
