I rent a DVR from time warner cable. My remote quit working & I want to tape some programs today. How do I do that manually?

I recently purchased a "Harmony" multi remote controller from Dick Smith Electronics. You have to go into the Internet and download some programming material for it, but it has 100,s of different make and models that you can access to reprogram the remote. it works on Tv,s DVD,s Videos etc. I lost my remote for an old Conia TV and it now works perfectly with the Harmony remote.

Just try an other setup code to your TV brand to set it up.

if you have the user manual of the remote control try as VCR not as TV.

another note, are you using the flash on the back of your cable box or do you have a sensor in front of the DVR box?

We forgot the very last step in programming. I tried programming one more time today and it worked so now everything is working correctly!!
