I cannot OPEN my Internet Explorer from my Desk top anymore, used to, now I have to go thru the START MENU and even then it has become so painfully slow, can you help?

I don't know what OS you are using but you can put a new short cut on your desktop by going to the start menu right click Internet Explorer and select "Open file location" This should open a folder that has A short cut in it. Just right click that and select "Copy" then close that window and right click on your desktop and select "Paste". Then your done and should make thing faster for you again.

Cant open internet options

How to Open Internet Options
Each browser has a way to customize it, and you do it using Internet Options. With Internet Options, you can specify your privacy settings, security and your home page with a few clicks of your mouse. Knowing how to open Internet options is essential to preventing hackers from accessing your computer or keeping people from viewing your Internet history. Opening the window in Firefox, Internet Explorer, or with your computer's control panel is not a difficult task.
Instructions
Firefox
1 Launch the Firefox browser.
2 Go to the toolbar at the top of the browser and select "Tools."
3 Move the mouse pointer down the tool menu until you get to "Options." Click on that word. Your Firefox Internet Options will immediately open.

Internet Explorer
1 Launch the Internet Explorer browser.
2 Click on the "Tools" menu located on the tool bar, at the top of the browser.
3 Move the mouse cursor down that menu until you get to "Internet Options." Left click on those words. Your Internet Options window will immediately open.

Computer Control Panel
1 Go to the Start Menu.
2 Click on the "Control Panel."
3 Click "Network Internet Options." Then, Click "Internet Options." You will be able to change Internet Explorer options, but not those of other browsers such as Firefox or Google Chrome
