1. It is possible that your hard drive is faulty and have bad sectors or unable to read due to cable error or motherboard. 2. Try to re-seat the hard disk and if that doesn't work go to repair shop and get it checked, if problem is found ask them to recover the data if you need it and if possible. 3. Get a new hard drive.
Are you using Factory CD/DVD or Made from utlity Disks or from hard drive utility option.
This seems to be a CD read error.
I found the same error code need help for posted for HP, Compaq, Gateway, ETC.
ALL new setups with the MAKE RECOVERY DISK UTILITY and NO factory disks.
Factory recovery disks are available for $60 and up from manufacturers.
Other option is Install Retail OS - get drivers from manufacturer - Install software you want to use.
Other option is expensive but reliable.
Factory option would be for your system only.
Yes, take your printer to any staples store or even a walmart [electronics/computer dept] and get the cable you need.. You eill also need the disk for that printer which you can download for free by googling lexmark Z705 Driver.
I'm assuming that this was functioning at one point. If you are using Windows, Right click on my computer and click "Manage" Then go to disk management? Does it see the drive at all. If so, has a letter been assigned? It is possible that the operating system will show the drive even if it can't read the data. Look to see what file system and how it sees the disk having been partitioned. It is possible that your partition table has been corrupted. This can possibly be fixed using a tool like disk doctor or fdisk.
If, on the other hand, the drive is also making funny noises, you may have a mechanical failure on the drive.
