In my case, the error was caused by the water pressure sensor. In contrast to the other topic (that I cannot find momentairely, but describes a switch with float near the water outlet pump) in my case (bosch avantixx 7) the pressure sensor was located at the top of the machine with a hose going down along the side, the E17 error was caused by this hose having been disconnected. (the pressure sensor and hose look similar to as shown in the beginning of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWYovqod6JY before the water inlet valve is checked)

Hi harleyd81899,
F17 Turn the tap on fully, check that the supply hose is not kinked/jammed; clean filter. Also check water pressure is not too low If all these test ok you need to run a load with no clothes with 1 cup of white vinegar this will solve your issue.
