Unlock Dash T-Mobile

Just bought a T-Mobile Dash 620 on ebay. The ad said the phone was unlocked. However when I got it to Canada and put in my SIM for Rogers, the phone asks for the SIMLock code? Contacted the seller who does not answer my emails.

How can I get this PDA/Cell Phone to work with my Canadian SIM

Typically the SIM lock code is provided with the SIM card upon purchase, it is usually on the sim card itself or at least the holder card in which the SIM card came.

I would contact the SIM card provider for a replacement sim card with password.

You can call T-Mobile and inform them that you want to use the phone in the UK on their system - with your T-Mobile SIM card and they will more than likely either unlock the phone or provide you the 'special' code to use it in the UK.

Your other alternative is to purchase an unlock code from eBay. The choice is really yours.

I bought this phone in Australia on the Virgin network. I live in Canada and have received the code to unlock the phone but I do not have SIM card from a network in Canada, can I still unlock the phone.
You do not need a SIM card from Canada: just use any non-Virgin/non-Optus SIM card (e.g. free pre-paid SIM card from Vodafone could be used) to force the prompt for your Unlock code.
