Since your post is under the Lexmark X1240 category, I presume that that is the exact model number of your printer. Now, you need to install the printer driver in your computer by using the installation cd that came with the printer. If you don't have the cd, you can download the software from the Lexmark website. Printer is compatible with Microsoft (Windows) operating systems only. If it's running on Vista or Windows 7, check if it's a 32-bit or 64-bit by clicking on Windows logo Start menu > right click on Computer > Properties . Just choose and click the correct driver compatible with your operating system:
-
Driver for Microsoft Windows 2000, XP and Server 2003.
-
Drivers for Microsoft Windows Vista. (for 32-bit)
-
Driver for Microsoft Windows Vista (x64). (for 64-bit)
-
Driver for Microsoft Windows 7. (for 32-bit)
-
Driver for Microsoft Windows 7 x64. (for 64-bit)
Download and install the software. If you need more assistance, just place a comment so I can get back to it. If you find this helpful, I would appreciate if you can rate me. Thanks.
